ANA MONFORT

Ph.D. Student

I pursued my Bachelor's Degree in Biology at Universidad de Valencia (2018) and while finishing it I specialized in Medical Genetics and Genomics by Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid (2018). During my time as an undergraduate, I was able to do two internships in either Industry and Academic Research laboratories, which helped me to channel my career preferences and realize what I enjoyed the most.
So then, I moved to Madrid to study a Master's Degree in Biomolecules and Cell Dynamics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2019), where I joined the CCCB lab to do my Master's Final Thesis in a project aimed to identify resistance mechanisms to treatment with kinase inhibitors. I had a blast at the lab and fell in love with cell cycle proteins, so I am now studying a Ph.D. in Molecular Oncology going on with the same project.
